Celebrate the holiday season with commemorative updates on great games. Overwatch , GO Pokémon , Fortnite and other great hit games are now ready for the holiday season with special themed content. There are new maps, characters and game modes that have been enabled to celebrate Christmas games in festive updates. Check out ten games that received thematic content in 2018:
Blizzard’s FPS has a tradition of including themed events throughout the year, and in the same way it did last year, the Frozen Paradise event was also made available in 2018 with new skins for the holiday season and the return from Yeti Hunting mode.
To celebrate the seventh season, Fortnite Battle Royale, the biggest hit of Epic Games, brought another free update. The game map was changed and, in addition to presenting aerial vehicles and new game modes, the Christmas mood became even more evident thanks to the frozen piece of map.
During the 2018 Game Awards it was revealed that PlayerUnknow’s Battlegrounds will also receive a frozen map, in the same vein as Fortnite. It features new Christmas-themed weapons and skins to make everything look festive at the end of the year.
As with the first Overcooked, Overcooked 2 also gained additional Christmas content. The free update Kevin’s Christmas Cracker brings five new kitchens and two new chefs with festive look.
It has also become tradition in Pokémon GO to reward coaches around the world with themed Christmas updates. In addition to the return of the Pikachu with Christmas hat, the index of appearance of ice monsters like Sneasel, Swinub, Snorunt, Spheal, Jynx and Snover increases during the event.
